Welcome to Alameda Optometric Group
At Alameda Optometric Group, we’re passionate about providing eye care to every person in our community. We’ve been serving the Alameda community since 1975, when Dr. Gary B. Nelson started his practice at this lovely location. He happily and tirelessly served his patients, friends, and family for many years. Dr. Shelly Sheppard joined him in 2007 and he continues to say it was the best business decision he ever made! Together, they expanded Alameda Optometric Group until Dr. Nelson retired in 2020. Now, Dr. Sheppard and Dr. Wong continue Dr. Nelson’s mission of providing quality eye care to all Alameda residents. We will continue to work hard to deliver quality services, progressive treatments, and exceptional products.
